Impactful Coaching Webinar Series
AWSA is committed to provide ample opportunities for access to high quality professional development. In addition to our in-person academies, we provide specific, timely, and practical webinars, focused on relevant topics in school leadership. We offer webinars focused on specific key areas in coaching school improvement.
Since these webinars are specific to providing scenarios for practice, it is recommended that participants have already participated in the Impactful Coaching Academy in order to be familiar with the protocols to be used in the webinars.

Session Information and Registration:
You may register for each of the sessions individually for $39 per session or you may register for all five in the series for $160.

Coaching Engagement:
In this session participants will deepen their understanding of "look fors" so as to distinguish between an educator who thinks like an activity designer versus an assessor. Achievement and opportunity gaps exist when students are missing a sense of purpose and belonging in the classroom and if the cognitive rigor reflects low expectations for learning. Coaching simulations focused on entry points to ensure engagement for all will occur in this session.

Coaching Teams:
Schools need teams who recognize the importance of interdependence; a group of people who work towards a common goal, share responsibility for specific outcomes and demonstrate mutual accountability for continuous improvement. To create schools of equity and excellence, we must focus on teams versus individuals to ensure exponential growth and impact. Coaching simulations focused on interrupting and disrupting norms of practice on teams, that are hindering our ability to transform engagement and achievement, will be utilized in this session.

Coaching Healthy Conflict:
People lose their way when they lose their why. In this session, participants will analyze how professional lapses in the workplace can contribute to a culture that is counterproductive for learning and engagement. Simulations will focus on the use of coaching stems and opportunities to build relational trust while maintaining high expectations for the adults in our schools.

Coaching Equity:
Despite many productive coaching conversations, we have missed opportunities to have the deeper conversations that influence language, decisions, and mindsets. This means many of our most vulnerable children go underserved in regular and special education settings. This session will focus on coaching stems and entry points for impacting equitable practices for students in Wisconsin.

Coaching Improvement:
This session will prompt participants to consider how to approach coaching improved instructional practice and reluctance to feedback. Participants will consider and practice the approaches to identify impactful entry points that cause reflection and lead to action. The simulations will include opportunities to practice conversations with people who may not be reflective, tend to dismiss feedback, think differently than you or are simply defensive.
